DMCA Notice

Checkmate Streams respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA") and other applicable copyright laws, we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement that are reported to our designated copyright agent.

1. Our DMCA Policy

Checkmate Streams has implemented a policy to disable access to content that infringes upon copyrights of third parties. We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, terminate the access rights of users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.

We operate as a service provider and do not independently host or generate all content available through our platform. Some content is sourced from third-party providers under licensing agreements.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that your copyrighted work has been infringed, please submit a written notification containing the following information to our Designated Copyright Agent:

1. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work(s) you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered in a single notification, you may provide a representative list.
3. Identification of the allegedly infringing material — including its location on the service (URL or specific description) that is sufficient for us to locate it.
4. Your contact information — including your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We will review your claim and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Upon receiving a valid DMCA notification, we will take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing content.

3. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe that material you posted was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent containing the following:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and phone number.
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Checkmate Streams may be found.
6. A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice.

Once we receive a valid counter-notification, we will forward a copy to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file an action seeking a court order within 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice, we may restore the removed material.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, Checkmate Streams has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also, at our discretion, limit access to our service and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

5. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify this DMCA policy at any time. Such modifications are effective upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
